Thomasine E. Moore is the managing partner of Thomasine E. Moore Attorney at Law, P.A. located in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and provides legal services in Criminal Law, Family Law , and Personal Injury cases. She is regarded by her colleagues as an exceptional hardworking lawyer. She has been awarded Lawyer of the Year by the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers , she awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine by the Honorable Roy Cooper, Governor of the State of North Carolina in 2017 and several other awards from state and national groups.

Thomasine earned a B.S. degree in Political Science from North Carolina Central University in 1971. Thereafter , she attended the North Carolina School of Law, where she received a degree of Juris Doctor in 1974. Upon graduation , Thomasine began her career in the field of Law at Allstate Insurance Company in Charlotte, N,C. In 1975 Ms. Moore joined the law firm of Reginald L. Frazier in New Bern, North Carolina.

Thomasine eventually became a partner in that Law Firm and in 1981 she opened her own firm in Jacksonville North Carolina. Thomasine was the first female to practice law in New Bern and Jacksonville, North Carolina. In 1982 Ms. Moore was joined in her practice by Ernest J. Wright and in 1987 Thomasine and Ernie became partners with Paul A. Hardison. Thomasine has handled all types of cases during her 48 years of practicing law.

Thomasine has mentored many students interested in pursuing a career in law. She has a passion for helping young people accomplish their goals and especially those who want to become lawyers.

Thomasine Moore was also elected as the first female and minority chairperson of the Onslow County Democratic Party. She was also named “Lawyer of the Year” in 1993 by the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers. She as also served as 1st Vice-Chairman of the North Carolina Democratic Party and has served as a member of the Democratic National Committee. Ms. Moore also serves on the Planning Board for the City of Jacksonville, NC.

She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and the NAACP.
